Some great reads

Mrs. Zephyr’s Notebook – kc dyer

It is interesting that the named character of the novel never appears in the novel. The protoganist, Logan Kemp, is a rugby player who injures himself in a game and ends up in the hospital, with Mrs. Zephyr as his visiting teacher. The only other patient on the ward is Cleopatra Jones, an anorexic struggling to achieve perfection. When Cleopatra goes missing, Logan and Kip (aka Kidney Boy) search few her through clues given in Mrs. Zephyr’s notebook.

The Hunger Games – Suzanne Collins

It is a time in the not too distant future.  North America is one giant country called Panem and as punishment for rebelling, young people from each of the 12 districts must fight to the death on live tv — an event known as “The Hunger Games” .   Katniss is a character you will not soon forget.  This is a page turner full of action and character development.  The only thing wrong with this book is that you won’t want to put it down.
